OUR WORK

🌿 Our Work. Livity in Action.

Good intentions nice. Putting dem to work even nicer.

Jah Livity Foundation is about practical help, right here in Jamaica.

Sometimes the need is big. Sometimes it is one family, one youngster, one church or one community group that could use a hand. Wi look for places where a little support can make a real difference — and then try fi get it where it needs to go.

No hundred-page strategy. No fancy talk necessary.

See a need. Find a way. Put Livity to work. 💚

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

🤝 Community Support

Help where help needed.

Community doesn’t always fit neatly into a programme.

Sometimes somebody needs materials to repair a home. Sometimes a church or local group is helping families in its area. Sometimes people simply get hit with one of those moments when life decide fi behave like it have a personal problem with you. 😅

Jah Livity Foundation helps connect donations, supplies and practical resources with people and community organisations that can put them to good use.

That might mean household essentials. Building materials. School supplies. Help for a local initiative. Or something completely different because, as every Jamaican already know, trouble don’t send appointment before it arrive.

Our approach is deliberately simple: listen, understand what would actually help, and do what wi reasonably can.

One community helping another. That’s Livity.

YOUTH & OPPORTUNITY

💻 Youth & Opportunity

A likkle technology can open a whole heap of doors.

School don’t stop at the classroom door anymore.

Homework, research, online classes, applications and basic communication increasingly depend on having access to technology — and not every youngster in Jamaica has a laptop or tablet waiting at home.

That’s why one of the practical ways Jah Livity Foundation helps is by getting usable laptops, tablets and other learning resources into the hands of young people who need them.

A device gathering dust in somebody’s cupboard can become somebody else’s homework station, classroom, library and window to the wider world.

Not bad work for one old laptop, eh? 💻💚

Wi believe opportunity grows when young people have the tools to reach it.

🌱 Roots Rebuild

Di storm pass. Di rebuilding continue.

When Hurricane Melissa tore through western Jamaica, plenty small farming families didn’t just lose a crop. Roofs went. Tools disappeared. Growing spaces mash up. Household supplies, seedlings and years of hard work were gone in one rough night.

But anybody who know Jamaica know we have one stubborn habit:

Wi get back up. 🇯🇲💚

Through the Roots Rebuild Fund, Jah Livity Foundation helps farming families and communities rebuild one practical piece at a time — zinc and lumber for roofs, tools to get back to work, seedlings to put life back in the soil, and household essentials while families find their footing again.

These aren’t big commercial farms. They’re family operations where everybody lend a hand — parents, children, aunties, uncles. When one farm gets back on its feet, more than one person rise with it.

No grand speeches required. Sometimes progress look like a new sheet of zinc. Sometimes it look like seedlings going back into Jamaican soil.

One Love. One Farm at a Time. 🌿

🤲 How Wi Help

No two problems arrive wearing the same shoes.

That’s why Jah Livity Foundation doesn’t try to squeeze every need into one big formal programme.

Sometimes wi provide supplies directly. Sometimes support goes through a church, community group or somebody already doing good work on the ground. Sometimes people donate useful items and wi help get them into the right hands. And sometimes a situation simply need a practical solution and somebody willing fi help make it happen.

The basic idea stays the same:

Listen first. Help where it matters. Keep it practical.

Being grassroots means wi can stay close to the communities we support, work with people who understand what is actually needed and avoid making a simple act of kindness more complicated than it needs to be.

Because if somebody need zinc, giving dem fourteen forms and a mission statement not going stop the rain. 😅

💚 Help Wi Do More

You don’t have to run a Foundation to make something good happen.

A donation can help us respond when somebody needs support. A Roots Rebuild contribution can help another family keep rebuilding. A purchase from the Foundation shop helps fund the work. And sometimes the useful thing sitting unused in your house could be exactly what somebody here needs.

Pick your way. Bring your likkle. Wi’ll put it to work.
